I think that all of this is part of being an adult. Ask almost anyone our age (I have a couple weeks on you) and we all feel the same way. We all seem to feel like we aren’t responsible adults, no matter that we have a roof over our head, food in our bellies, work and families.

We aren’t our parents, by any stretch, but really our parents weren’t faced with the economic situation that we have right now. I have no retirement plan, other than hoping my husband is able to work long enough for us both to live.

As far as buying property? Oh, hell no. We think about it, then realize we’d be responsible for all repairs and all that shit, and go right back to being perfectly happy renting our home.
